Meet Our New Editorial and Production Coordinator, Anne Howard

Oct 7, 2026

We’re thrilled to introduce Anne Howard, Page Two’s new Editorial and Production Coordinator! Anne’s a passionate and experienced publishing professional with a keen interest in creative production and storytelling. In her new role, she plays a key role in our editorial and production operations and ensuring books move smoothly from manuscript through to publication.

“Anne joined us on contract shortly after completing her master of publishing degree at Simon Fraser University, and she immediately impressed us with her organizational skills, her initiative, and her willingness to jump into every editorial and production task we asked of her. We are delighted to welcome her to Page Two in this full-time capacity as the Editorial and Production Coordinator,” says Kendra Ward, Page Two’s Publishing Director.

What excites you the most about your new role?

As a spatial thinker and a map enthusiast, I love the brain buzz I get from doing puzzles and making connections. For that reason, I really enjoy coordinating complex projects with a lot of moving parts, and working with a variety of team members along the way.

But I’m most excited to shepherd books to the finish line, and helping our authors see their goals come to life!

What kind of an emoji would you describe yourself as?

At work, probably the wizard or the dancing lady.

At home, the harbor seal.

What’s your favorite book you’ve read in 2026 and why?

It’s impossible to pick one! I have two top favorites this year:

  • The Dispossessed by Ursula K. Le Guin has such a quiet intensity to it, and it’s jam-packed with ideas about power, social systems, relationships, love, pain, sharing, ownership, and more.
  • I read Emily St. John Mandel’s Station Eleven when I went on a post-apocalyptic fiction bender, and it hit. A pandemic story filled to the brim with existential questions and cultural conundrums? Written by a dancer-turned-novelist? Sign me all the way up.
  • Also loved: The Wind Knows My Name by Isabel Allende, Keeper’n Me by Richard Wagamese, The Everlasting by Alix E. Harrow, and The Great Believers by Rebecca Makkai.

What’s your favorite album of all time?

As a music enthusiast and vinyl record collector, I find it tough to pick one, so here’s a top five! (It might be different tomorrow…)

  1. Genesis, A Trick of the Tail
  2. The Moody Blues, In Search of the Lost Chord
  3. Lido Pimienta, Miss Colombia
  4. De La Soul, 3 Feet High and Rising
  5. David Byrne, Rei Momo

What do you enjoy doing most in your free time?

Hiking with my husband, travelling, listening to music, dancing, thrifting, baking, reading, cuddling with my cat, and playing pub trivia!

What’s the best advice you ever received and/or given?

Pina Bausch once said, “Dance, dance… otherwise we are lost,” and Rebecca Solnit wrote, “We navigate by stories, but sometimes we only escape by abandoning them.”
