On Tuesday, January 19, we officially announced our new sales and distribution agreement with Macmillan Publishers. Macmillan will sell and distribute our books in the United States and internationally effective July 1, 2021. Our current partner, Publishers Group West/Ingram, will continue to manage our sales and distribution in these markets until then. Raincoast Books will remain our Canadian distributor moving forward.
“We have long admired Macmillan’s leadership and creativity,” said Page Two co-founder Jesse Finkelstein. “The size and profile of our list has grown significantly over the last couple of years, and we feel they are the right partner for us at this stage.”
“We’re looking forward to the energy that they will bring to our books, as well as their excellent market reach,” added co-founder Trena White.
Macmillan Publishers is a global trade publishing company operating in over 70 countries, with imprints around the world. Macmillan is also a full-service distributor with demonstrated category expertise across all market channels, representing publishers including Bloomsbury USA, Drawn and Quarterly, Graywolf Press, Guinness World Records, and Wattpad Books. They have a sales team of 100+ people who will be working with us, with sales representatives in the United States, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, South Africa, Australia, and India.
We’ve been developing a relationship with Macmillan for many months, and we’re confident that they share our commitment to excellence and understand the entrepreneurial nature of our authors. In every conversation with their team—from their international sales reps to the Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and library reps—their excitement and engagement have been palpable. They truly understand Page Two’s mission to publish extraordinary non-fiction.
“We are excited to partner with Page Two Books,” said Liz Tzetzo, VP, Publisher Services and Distribution for Macmillan. “We admire their creative and collaborative approach to publishing and their impressive list of entrepreneurial authors. We look forward to bringing their books to an even larger audience in the United States and international markets.”
This relationship gives us tremendous optimism for visibility and sales in the US and international markets, and we couldn’t be prouder to share this news with our community.
