Rock star wisdom with Brant Menswar

May 11, 2020

Whether he’s rocking out as the frontman for the acclaimed blues/soul band Big Kettle Drum, or electrifying crowds as one of America’s Top 10 Motivational Speakers, Brant Menswar—who’s also a podcast host and the CEO and founder of boutique leadership agency Rock Star Impact—delivers energy, insight, and empowerment.

We’re pumped to be working with Brant on his fall 2020 book, Black Sheep: Unleash the Extraordinary, Awe-Inspiring, Undiscovered You, in which he delivers mic-dropping truth bombs to help you live with uncompromising purpose. Read on to learn more about Brant and his message.

What three words best describe you?
I can do it in two: “Charmingly irreverent.” LOL.

What is your book about?
Living with deliberate intention. It teaches you how to discover what I call your Black Sheep Values, how to prove they’re true, and how to powerfully speak them into existence. A black sheep’s wool cannot be dyed. It is 100% authentically original. Discovering your personal five core values that cannot be changed will help guide you to better decisions and the best life possible.

Whom do you most admire?
People willing to be vulnerable and get honest with themselves about what matters most so they can stop winging it.

What is the last book you read?
The Jackass Whisperer by Scott and Alison Stratten, and Think Do Say by Ron Tite.

What are people always surprised to learn about you?
I played the school bully on the Nickelodeon kids’ show Welcome Freshmen.

Who is your favorite author?
Ian Morgan Cron. Chasing Francis: A Pilgrim’s Tale is a masterpiece.

What album would you take on a desert island with you?
It’s wrong to choose one of your own, right? So I’d have to go with Fables by Austin, Texas singer/songwriter David Ramirez.

What is your personal motto?
Change what’s possible.

Where do you find inspiration?
I find inspiration in things that counterbalance the status quo.
