Page Two designs honored at 2019 Alcuin Awards
Since 1981, the Alcuin Society has dedicated itself to the promotion and appreciation of beautifully designed Canadian books. They also sponsor the only national book design awards in the country—and our Creative Director Peter Cocking recently took home two of them.
We’re proud to announce that the following Page Two titles were honored at the 2019 Alcuin Awards:
- The Awesome Music Project Canada by Robert Carli and Terry Stuart, illustrated and designed by Peter Cocking, won first prize in the prose illustrated category
- Brand New Name by Jeremy Miller, illustrated by Michelle Clement, and designed by Peter Cocking, earned an honorable mention in the prose illustrated category
As one of North America’s finest publication designers, Peter is no stranger to the Alcuin Society. His visionary work has won him roughly 50 of these awards over the course of his career, and we couldn’t be happier to have such a talented (and decorated) designer on our team.
We’d also like to celebrate Robert, Terry, and Jeremy, the authors of these remarkable books. Thank you for choosing Page Two as your publisher, and for bringing such creativity, intelligence, and enthusiasm to the publishing process. We’re so thrilled to see your books getting the credit they deserve!
