Our heartfelt congratulations to Arno Kopecky, who has won the 2014 Edna Staebler Award for Creative Non-fiction for The Oil Man and the Sea: Navigating the Northern Gateway (Douglas & McIntyre).

The Oil Man and the Sea, Kopecky’s second book, is also shortlisted for the Lane Anderson Award and was a finalist for the Hubert Evans Non-Fiction Prize.

Kopecky will be honoured for the Edna Staebler Award at Wilfrid Laurier University on November 13.
