Congratulations to Peter Cocking, Page Two’s design associate, who has won two 2014 Alcuin Awards for book design. He took first prize in the Reference category for The Dirty Apron Cookbook, and honourable mention in Pictorial for the art book Susan Point.

Peter is the creative director of PeterCo Design and an adjunct professor of typography at Emily Carr University. Considered one of Canada’s finest publication designers, he has received almost fifty Alcuin Awards over his career, and has lectured on design and typography throughout Canada and in the U.S. His practice has been wide, from books to annual reports, packaging to corporate identity programs, newspapers, magazines, and websites. Before starting his own firm he was art director of D&M Publishers, leading the company to more design awards than any other Canadian publisher.
