We are pleased to welcome award-winning writer Elaine Kalman Naves, represented by principal Jesse Finkelstein in alliance with Transatlantic Agency.
Elaine was born in Hungary; grew up in Budapest, London, and Montreal; and is the author of eight books, among them two award-winning memoirs about her family: Journey to Vaja and Shoshanna’s Story. A longtime columnist for the Montreal Gazette and frequent contributor to CBC Ideas, Elaine has also written more than 500 articles and stories published in a variety of Canadian and international publications. Elaine’s honours include a Canadian Literary Award for Personal Essay, two Quebec Writers’ Federation prizes for nonfiction, and two Jewish Book Awards for Holocaust Literature. Her most recent book, The Book of Faith, was longlisted for the 2016 Leacock Prize for Humour.
